By using andradediu.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

These terms cover the website. The separate agreement you sign before your first session covers therapy itself — fees, cancellation, confidentiality and consent — and where the two differ, that agreement governs the therapeutic relationship.

This website is information, not therapy

Everything here — the service pages, the blog, the FAQs, the reading list — is general information. It is not counselling, not psychological or medical advice, and not a diagnosis. Reading it, filling in a form, or booking a consultation does not by itself create a therapist–client relationship. That begins only when you and Andra have met, agreed to work together, and you have signed the informed-consent agreement.

Do not delay seeking care, or disregard advice you have been given by a professional who knows your situation, because of something you read here.

In an emergency

This website and its inbox are not monitored for emergencies and cannot provide crisis support. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.

Who this practice can see

Andra Dediu is registered to practise in British Columbia. Online sessions are generally available to clients located in British Columbia, and elsewhere only where local rules permit it. If you are outside BC, ask before booking — it is checked case by case, and it is better to find out first.

Booking and appointments

Appointments are booked through a third-party scheduling platform. Using it means agreeing to that provider’s own terms, which are linked from the booking page. Current fees, the cancellation window and the late-cancel policy are on the Rates page and in your client agreement, and may change with notice.

Communicating through this site

Email, contact forms and text messages are not secure and should not be used for clinical information or anything urgent. Sending a message does not guarantee a reply, and does not make you a client. Replies to enquiries usually arrive within two working days.

Please do not send confidential information about a third party through this site.

Content and copyright

The writing, photographs, diagrams and design on this site belong to Andra Dediu unless credited otherwise, and are protected by Canadian and international copyright law. You are welcome to read it, print it for your own use, and share a link to it.

Republishing, copying substantial portions, or using any of it commercially — including to train a commercial machine-learning model — requires written permission. Short quotations with a clear credit and a link back are fine.

Links to other websites

Links to other organisations, books, directories and crisis services are offered because they may be useful. Their content is not controlled here and no responsibility is taken for it, and a link is not an endorsement of everything the linked site says.

No guarantees about outcomes

Therapy is not a product with a guaranteed result. Nothing on this site is a promise of a particular outcome, timeline, or improvement. What helps one person may not help another, and honest work sometimes feels harder before it feels easier.

Availability and accuracy

The site is offered as it is. Reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and available, but no guarantee is given that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or current at every moment. Content may change or be removed without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Andra Dediu is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or from reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for the professional services actually provided to a client, which is governed by your client agreement and by professional standards, not by this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
